Pip Wilde: Thank you so much! It’s honestly been surreal. I never imagined this little collection would connect with so many people. Seeing readers share their favorite poems has been the best part of the whole journey.

Q: The title immediately feels cozy. What inspired Cinnamon Lattes and Rainy Afternoons?

Pip: I’ve always loved autumn. There’s something about it that makes you stop and think. I wanted the collection to capture those feelings while also exploring the more difficult emotions that often come with change.

Q: Your collection includes both poetry and short prose pieces. What made you want to combine the two?

Pip: Sometimes a feeling only needs a few lines, and other times it needs a whole page. I didn’t want to limit myself to one format. I just wrote whatever felt right for each moment.

Q: Was there one poem that was especially difficult to write?

Pip: Definitely. Some poems came out really quickly, but others sat unfinished for months because they were so personal. Those ended up meaning the most to me.

Pip: Very much so. Life isn’t one thing all the time. Even on difficult days, there are little moments of comfort, and I wanted the book to reflect that.
